Steps to Become a CA

Foundation

CA Foundation is the entry level test to pursue the Chartered Accountancy course. Students can enrol Foundation Course just after appearing in Higher Secondary (+2) Examination but should have passed before appearing for 

Intermediate

Student can enrol CA Intermediate examination after passing CA Foundation examination or after completion of any Commerce UG Degree with 50% or non-commerce UG degree with 60% marks and completion of 8 months 

Final

Student can enrol CA Final course after passing CA Intermediate examination and shall be eligible to appear for examination only on completion of two and half years of article-ship training. Exams are conducted twice in a year during May 

CA Foundation

Principles & Practices of Accounting (100 Marks)

Paper 2

Part I : Business Laws (60 Marks)
Part II : Business Correspondence & Reporting (40 Marks)

Paper 3

Part I : Business Mathematics & Logical Reasoning (60 Marks)
Part II : Statistics (40 Marks)

Paper 4

Part I : Business Economics (60 Marks)
Part II : Business & Commercial Knowledge  (40 Marks)

Paper 1 & 2 are Descriptive Type
Paper 3 & 4 are Objective Type (MCQ) with Negative Mark

Passing Percentage : 40% in Each Paper and 50% in Aggregate

Students Registered on or before 30th June / 31st December will be eligible to appear in November / May Examination.

CA Intermediate

Student can enrol CA Intermediate examination after passing CA Foundation examination or after completion of any Commerce UG Degree with 50% or non-commerce UG degree with 60% marks and completion of 8 months Article-ship Training. Exams are conducted by ICAI twice in a year during May and November. It comprises of 2 groups having 8 Papers in total. Student can appear either single group or both groups together. Passing criteria is 40% in each paper and 50% in aggregate.

CA Final
